12 . old days

Hi Dean, I stumbled on your website tonight, and I remember, long ago (seems like a life time) a group of us practicing in my Dad's basement back in Brampton.
I can still remember my Dad pounding on the floor from upstairs and telling us to keep the volume down.
Congratulations on your excellent music career. Nice to see one of us made it.
Best Regards

14 . The Arrows

Just finished watching "heart of the city" on youtube and I have to say the Lines are open was a terrific album. The Arrows must live again. Canadiana is making a comeback and a tour would do extremely well. Anyone that has listened to my cassette of the aforementioned album has nothing but praise. Meet me in the middle always makes people get up and dance at my get-togethers. For the love of God, get the band back on the road.

17 . Lyrics

Man, some of your greatest lyrics are not noticed by most. I get chills everytime I hear "The Heart of the City". I hope you wrote it 'cause man...."I take a look at all that's around me, the neon the lights and the street, a familiar feeling surrounds me, and that's all I need". Wow! The energy, build up, etc is, for my taste, magic! I did my heavy party years in downtown Barrie in the late 90's but loved that song in the 80s and hearing it now, I think of partying in Barrie.

I did some research on your writing and to be linked to Amanda Marshall (one of the few people I would LOVE to see live) just makes your credentials that much better. I am a huge music fan. My favorites range from Hotel California to Loves Lies Bleeding/Funeral for a Friend to Nirvana and Pearl Jam.

Dean, thank you for your contribution to the music world. I just wish the rest of the world could hear the Heart of the City because I think that it really is an anthem to those who walk in to their local or town and get that feeling that that is the only place they should be and they just can;t wait to get that feeling again!

What a song and what lyrics. Thanks Dean, proud to know the song and I am glad that you are Canadian because it makes this sentiment very easy!

18 . Happy to be reacquainted!

Glad to be on the receiving end of the music you have poured your soul into over the years. Gotta say I miss the big hair of the 80's!
Thank you

19 . The Arrows

I loved you guys in the 80s. I saw you in either '84 or '85 at the Barrie Fair. I remember it was raining, and you cut the show short. That same year I saw you at Canada's Wonderland. You guys were an awesome band, and it's a shame you broke up. Of course, I love what you've done since, especially with Amanda Marshall, but I would love to see the Arrows reunite. I would buy an album without even hearing it. You have a lot of songs posted on Youtube, and by the comments, I think there are a lot of people out there who feel the same. Of course, it would not be the same without Earl Seymour, but there are still a lot of people out there who would love to see you guys back together. But at the very least, I would like to tell you that your music has definitely impacted my life. You are a great talent, and I look forward to your future work. Thanks for the memories, and I'm looking forward to the future.
